CoachArt’s 1-on-1 and group lessons have traditionally taken place in person. But now that everyone’s using “social distancing” to avoid coronavirus, we’re using online lessons to enable our volunteer coaches to continue to add magic to our students’ lives. See what we’re offering below.

Live Online CoachArt Clubs – CoachArt is hosting online Clubs using Zoom, an online video conferencing service. Kids and teens receive live instruction and interact with each other and their coach in our virtual classroom.

Online 1-on-1 Coaching – Our volunteer coaches are utilizing video chat to provide 1-on-1 instruction for all sorts of arts and athletic lessons including music, dance, art, cooking, yoga, and more!

Painting: Join Coach Erick for a guided painting lesson inspired by National Cat Day and Halloween! With step-by-step instruction, kids will be able to follow along and create this artwork of a black cat. No experience necessary, just the desire to have fun!

Materials needed: 1 Canvas panel: Erick will use an 11? x 14? size, but any size works. You can substitute cardstock paper.
2 Paintbrushes: one round brush, and one flat brush. But any paintbrushes you have will be OK.
Acrylic paint: Erick will use black, yellow, and blue, but you’re welcome to use any colors you have. Watercolors are a suitable substitution.
A paint palette: a paper plate or recycled cardboard is fine.
A disposable water cup.
An apron or wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty.

Drawing: Join Coach Byron for a magical adventure drawing lesson! With step-by-step instruction, kids will be able to follow along and make their own evil wizard with evil magical artifacts. All are welcome!

Materials needed: Any paper, and anything to color with.
