Kristi was born and raised in Miami, Florida, and received a degree in Public Health from the University of Miami. During that time, she volunteered as Operations and Logistics Coordinator for Camp Kesem Miami chapter and fell in love with nonprofit work. Her mother was a teacher for over 25 years, which inspired Kristi to do a service year at an inner-city school in New York. After returning to Florida she operated a STEM Lab at an elementary school, where she led students ages 5-11 in weekly experiments. Kristi grew up with a strong love of art and theater, and has performed in various productions and done work as a set designer and studio artist. She’s also an exercise enthusiast, has run a few half marathons, and is training for her first triathlon!
