Description

Explore our connection with nature in CoachArt’s Ethnobotany Art Club! Ethnobotany is the study of the relationships between a region’s plants and the Indigenous peoples who tend that land. Participants will learn how to use cordage and rope to weave baskets, make a plant suncatcher, and complete an in-depth field journal on plants they colored using natural plant dye, along with a self-portrait made out of leaves. By the club’s end, kids will have a holistic understanding of the connection between humans and plants and how to appreciate nature!
