Our Executive Director’s Farewell Letter
Dearest CoachArt community,
After two exceptional years as Executive Director of CoachArt, I have made the difficult decision to transition out of the organization, effective January 24. Without reservation, I have genuinely cherished my time working with CoachArt staff, our Board of Directors and especially the volunteers who keep the organization moving forward. The opportunity to be inspired and motivated, at every turn, by the CoachArt families, is truly transformative for all of us. I know that the organization will continue to do phenomenal work on behalf of the students we serve.
CoachArt has a stellar staff, capable of continuing the vision shared across all levels of the organization. With great enthusiasm, a strong work ethic and many years of experience working with students, the staff at CoachArt will help ensure that the organization continues to achieve its goals for families impacted by childhood chronic illnesses.
During this period of transition, the Board and staff will take on additional responsibilities, enabling for a smooth and successful transition. I am confident that CoachArt will maintain both its programmatic and financial strength during this transition. Furthermore, I look forward to the opportunity to continue to serve and support CoachArt as I transition onto our Board of Directors.
My tenure at CoachArt has been an incredible experience. I have had the opportunity to witness the positive impact the organization has on the communities we serve. I’ve seen students impacted by chronic illness overcome hardships and take on new tasks that serve their emotional and social needs — tasks like painting, basketball, dancing and crafts.
As I transition into a new role serving children and families in Los Angeles, I will always be thankful for the support of our Board, donors, staff and volunteers for helping make CoachArt a strong organization that has become an important resource for the lives of many students impacted by chronic illness, as well as their families.
The CoachArt Board has formed a search committee to find an Executive Director who will continue to push the organization forward. I am optimistic that CoachArt’s future will enable an even greater impact on those we serve.
I look forward to celebrating all of CoachArt’s future successes together!
All my best,
Dr. Kara Allen Soldati
