Background Check Process

At CoachArt, the safety and privacy of our students are our top priorities. All volunteers are required to complete a background check through Sterling Volunteers before beginning service.
 

Because CoachArt is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with limited resources, we ask volunteers to cover the cost of their background check (approximately $50, depending on your county). To complete the process, you will need your Social Security number and a credit card for payment.

Unable to Pay the Background Check Fee?
 

We understand that this fee may present a financial hardship for some volunteers. CoachArt can waive the fee with a brief explanation of your request.
 

No one is ever turned away due to financial circumstances. If you need assistance, please apply for a fee waiver here.
